eLearning/Online Testing & Evaluations
Intelligo's instructional designers are experienced in eLearning techniques that ensure that your users gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide an "end-to-end" learning of tasks and business processes. We design eLearning solutions to teach users to help themselves, including online testing and evaluations to provide immediate feedback or to interface with your LMS or LCMS.
Intelligo recommends the following levels of online evaluation:
Level 1: Post training surveys to evaluate the learner's experience of the content and quality of the learning experience. For online training, the survey covers course content and ease of understanding instructions, readability of the screens, etc.
Level 2: Performance-based assessments of the learner's ability to complete the task, augmented with more traditional tests for key concepts and processes. Intelligo typically utilizes a combination of performance-based skill checks (practice sessions) at the end of instructional units (lessons) and at the end of each course. Performance-based assessments generally determine whether or not the learner can perform the task correctly (for example, correctly enter a stock or non-stock purchase order). We then follow these with quizzes to review and reinforce key learning objectives.
The performance-based assessments can be scored or not scored, depending upon your company's goals, testing tools and learning management systems (LMS) available within the company, and regulatory requirements. If the assessments are online, they may need to be AICC/SCORM compliant. We are very familiar with these requirements and we use SCORM-compliant tools to enable LMS sharing and compliance with AICC guidelines.
In addition, Intelligo has a library of training plans with task-based objectives and learner skills assessments that can be customized to your configuration, business processes, and key performance indicators. These may be effectively deployed online, using a combination of scored simulations and online tests; however, online assessments are very dependent upon the testing and/or simulation software selected. We have experience implementing a range of evaluation solutions, and we have worked with multiple LMS software packages. During the Needs Assessment, we will work with your team to determine the appropriate tools, depending upon your company's requirements.
