UPK Upgrade and Training Drives Value for Denver-Based Corporation

Denver, CO, Dec. 28, 2009 – Intelligo, Inc. aided a diversified North American corporation with an upgrade to its Oracle’s User Productivity Kit (UPK) software. For several years, the corporation had used UPK to provide web-based training and on-the-job support for its JD Edwards software users. As part of the upgrade, Intelligo installed the current UPK release over a SQL database and converted the company’s e-learning content. Additionally, Intelligo installed Oracle’s Usage Tracking software to enable the company to measure the use within the company of its web-based training courses.

After installation and testing, Intelligo provided training to the company’s web-based training developers and to the IT support staff who administer UPK and Usage Tracking. As Project Manager Bill Burkey stated, “This net-change training will help the company take advantage of the new features in UPK and to use Usage Tracking for the first time to measure the usage and effectiveness of their e-learning courses.” He added, “It is especially rewarding to show experienced UPK developers new functionality and to provide them with additional tips and tricks that speed development and make the content more effective.”

Armed with this additional training, the corporation plans to expand its web-based training to other applications. Ultimately, this will provide broader support for end-users while keeping costs under control.
