The Customer

HPR Partners, a division of the HAVI Group, provides customized distribution services to more than 2,600 McDonald's restaurants in eight countries, other selected customers from distribution centers throughout the Midwest, and several countries in the Asia Pacific region.

This corporation delivers food, packaging, and operating supplies to the restaurants using the latest technology to assure prompt, reliable, and quality service to its customers. HPR Partners also provides baking and food processing services to McDonald's in three Asian markets, and high-end bakery products and limited distribution services to Starbucks and other selected customers in four U.S. markets.

The Challenge

HAVI implemented the J.D. Edwards Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system's financial and distribution modules. HAVI needed clear and concise documentation and training materials for their business administrators to use as trainers of the new J.D. Edwards' system. In addition to Financials and Distribution documentation, trainers needed end-user documentation for the following classes:

		System Basics
		Address Book
		Job Cost

The Solution

Intelligo consultants attended and documented processes, opinions of team members, issues and actions, and other important points of record in a series of solution strategy workshops. Intelligo also crafted end-user documentation and training materials.

Intelligo delivered the following:

		End-user documentation for Financials and Distribution modules in Microsoft Word with hyperlinked title pages
		Quick reference cards for employees to reference after training
		Business process flows produced in Microsoft Visio
		Document maintenance guides to help HAVI maintain the documentation after Intelligo rolled off the project
		A set of System and Reporting Basics documentation
